Close Quarter Defensive Grappling for Law Enforcement

April 6 - 8, 2026. Nashville, TN.

Most officers receive limited hands-on training each year. While every situation feels unpredictable, most assaults follow the same patterns—grabs, punches, chokes, headlocks and fights that end up on the ground. This course trains simple, high-percentage defensive skills for the situations officers face most often, so you’re prepared when it counts.

What cops say about our courses

Fantastic methodology of instruction with each block building upon the previous block, and reviews of previous blocks before presenting new material. Application of the learned techniques under pressure at the end of each day proved the real world use of the instruction.

Live drilling with full resistance was excellent. It provides proof that the techniques work. I also like that there are multiple techniques, but not too many techniques to overcomplicate the class.

I enjoyed everything about this course. It is the best training I have received in my 22-year law enforcement career. I wish I would have known this stuff when I started LE. It is very practical to the everyday job and not very hard to learn. I'll be searching for another one of their courses soon.

I enjoyed the learning environment. It was relaxed enough that I did not feel pressured. I was able to go at my own pace while receiving constructive feedback or correction. I liked the principle-based approach and the realistic application of the movements under resistance. Nothing was overly complicated.

Instructors were very knowledgeable and well versed in the subject. Also they were very willing to help and take time to explain and answer questions about the topics taught. Probably the best hands on training I’ve attended in 17 years of law enforcement!

I enjoyed all the different options presented. Instruction was clear and the instructors were always willing to answer questions

The instruction style was great and made simple.
